DORES 1.5 Tablet Each tablet contains: Haloperidol 1.5 mg DORES 5 Caplet Each caplet contains: Haloperidol 5 mg INDICATION Acute & chronic schizophrenia, anxiety states, restlessness & psychic imbalance accompanied by irritability, aggregasion, asthenia, delusion & hallucinations. DOSAGE Adults & children > 12 years : Moderate symptoms : 0.5-2 mg, 2-3 times daily. Severe symptoms : 3-5 mg, 2-3 times daily. Children 3-12 years : 0.05-0.15 mg/Kg body weight in divided doses. Chronic schizophrenia: Adults & children > 12 years : initially 6-15 mg in 2-3 divided doses. Elderly : 0.5-1.5 mg in 2-3 divided doses. ADVERSE REACTION Muscullar hypertonia & trembling, restlessness, uncoordinated eye movement, orthostatic hypotension, galactorrhea. CONTRAINDICATION Endogenous depression without agitation, neurological disorders with pyramidal or extrapyramidal symptoms, comatose conditions & severe CNS depression. SPECIAL PRECAUTION Hyperthyroidism, hepatic dysfunction, CV disorders, children. DRUG INTERACTION Lithium, methyldopa, anticonvulsants, alcohol, CNS depressants & opiates.
